Chicago Bulls big board for 2018 NBA Draft
By Ryan Heckman
11. Forward Miles Bridges, Michigan State
In a somewhat miracle scenario, Miles Bridges would be a no-brainer at no. 22. He is another player who, if he slips past no. 15 or 16, the Bulls should seriously consider trading up for. Bridges, the brother of fellow NBA prospect Mikal, is slotted anywhere from 11-to-20, depending on which outlet you look at.
Bridges is one of those guys who fits well in a position-less league. At 6-foot-7, he can play on the wing where he shot over 36 percent from three-point range. But, his post game looks to have enough potential where he could be an effective stretch-four as a pro.
Because of his strength, Bridges might be best suited as an undersized power forward. His footwork is good enough to be moved outside at times, and he could become a good perimeter defender as a pro as well. It’s just a matter of whether or not he puts in the effort to translate his game to the NBA.
Bridges offers a lot to like, no matter where teams might see him. He is a good enough mid-range shooter to be used in pick-and-pop situations, but he is also an effective rebounder, proving he has a home inside (7.0 rebounds per game last year).
