Collin Sexton, Alabama

In the conversation for the best point guard in this draft, maybe aside from Luka Doncic (depending on what position he ultimately plays as a pro), is Collin Sexton out of Alabama. Sexton is a physical and athletic point guard who has a tenacious style of play on the court.

Sexton, like Dunn, is a solid defender and the Bulls wouldn’t lose anything in that area by grabbing Sexton in the first round.

The only major question, here, is whether or not Sexton is worth the seventh overall selection. Most would agree he would be a reach at no. 7, so maybe the Bulls would trade back with a team who wanted another player at that spot — this, of course, is based on the premise that the Bulls like Sexton that much.

The best thing about Sexton, aside from his defensive prowess, is his unabashed skill going to the rim. He attacks the hoop before he pulls up for a jumper. The guy has a lot to like about him offensively. In a jump-shooting league featuring so many teams filling it up from deep, Sexton is a bit of a throwback due to his aggressive style of play. I love his ability to get to the hoop.

Once again, though, Chicago would need to move back in my opinion, if they wanted Sexton. With how many players are being rumored to move up and down on draft boards lately, it wouldn’t shock me to see a team want to move up to the Bulls’ spot on draft day.
