This upcoming 2018 NBA Draft could contain the answer to the Chicago Bulls’ point guard problems — a problem that has been prevalent since the departure of former top pick Derrick Rose.

The solution is none other than Oklahoma’s Trae Young.
Yep, the same Trae Young that you’ve probably seen countless times on SportsCenter.
The same Trae Young that tied the NCAA single-game assists record with 22 back in December.
The exact same Trae Young that broke Kevin Durant’s Big 12 record for most points in a season by a freshman with 811.
The 2018 Wayman Tisdale Award winner (National Freshman of the Year) is draft-eligible, and is one of the most well-known names in the entire draft. Regardless of where he goes, Trae Young will be, if he isn’t already, a household name.
Typically, your household names are guys who are franchise-players; cornerstones for years to come. Plain and simple: You don’t ‘tank’ a full season to draft a role player.
Don’t get be wrong — Mikal Bridges is a great player. Being a third-team All-American and two-time National Champion is no same feat. But, many see Bridges as a typical 3-and-D wing in the NBA. 3-and-D wings are great as final pieces to the championship puzzle, but rarely will a two-dimensional player make a franchise-changing impact like a point guard can.
