Cornerbacks

Kyle Fuller

One of Pace’s best moves this offseason came with how he played the Kyle Fuller situation. In the end, he was able to retain the Bears’ top cornerback who is on the rise. Fuller will look to improve on his best season as a pro in 2017.

Prince Amukamara

Keeping the starting duo intact, Prince Amukamara was retained as well. He played his best ball in the fourth quarter last year, so keeping a guy like him was imperative. Amukamara was often overlooked and underrated last year, but he’ll prove his worth yet again starting opposite Fuller.

Bryce Callahan

One of the top overall graded corners in 2017, via Pro Football Focus, Bryce Callahan was also re-signed to slide right back in at slot. If healthy, Callahan is an enormous asset to this defense.

Sherrick McManis

Keeping the theme going, another corner re-signed by the Bears sticks around especially for special teams contributions. Sherrick McManis is familiar with the team and defensive scheme and should continue to offer solid depth.

Marcus Cooper

I hate to say it, but Marcus Cooper does offer a bit of depth as well. Even though he made the bonehead play of the year last season, Cooper’s play aside from that wasn’t terrible.

Kevin Tolver

One of the more highly-touted undrafted free agents this year makes the team, as former LSU corner Kevin Toliver should have gone in the fourth or fifth round in the draft.

Cre’von LeBlanc

The Bears keep seven corners as former undrafted free agent Cre’von LeBlanc rounds out the group.
