The Chicago Bears had plenty of players come in and try out during rookie minicamp. Following the weekend practices, what notable moves were made?

Over the weekend, the Chicago Bears held their rookie minicamp that featured all seven draft picks from this year’s NFL Draft. The Bears not only had their own picks on hand, but several other players from various schools.

Among the undrafted rookies were also a few players who came in on a tryout basis, having already spent time in the NFL. At this point, new head coach Matt Nagy is embracing every opportunity he can in order to build the roster.

It was comforting and inspiring to hear Nagy tell the media over the weekend that he is essentially taking every player’s background, experience and pedigree, and throwing them out the window. Nagy wants to put the best talent on the field, regardless of where said player is from or how much he makes.

Already, you can feel the culture shifting and momentum building within the Bears’ organization because of how fresh and motivated the new coaching staff is — and it starts with Nagy.

Leadership is a quality that must be earned, not given. It’s something that is learned, and at times you’re born with the ability, but not the title. Nagy certainly has the ability to lead, and now that he’s been given the title by the Bears, he’s taken full advantage thus far.

With all of the fresh faces in the building over the weekend, Nagy got a good look at some potential hidden gems that other teams may have passed over not once, but several times. Following the camp, Chicago made several moves to their roster.

Starting with the cuts, we’ll cover each player on his way out as well as the guys who will be sticking around a bit longer.
