Who leads the way on special teams?

Going back to my point about Howard competing for touches, could Cohen’s expanded role in the offense deter him from fielding punts or kickoffs? I think we see him field punts, but the Bears will also have other guys back there who could spell the second-year running back.

Bryce Callahan is a slot corner, so with not having to play every down on defense, he’ll be fresh enough to play on special teams like he did last year. He actually looked pretty good on the trick play that got him into the end zone last year.

Aside from Callahan and Cohen, the Bears still have even more options, specifically with Eddie Jackson. At Alabama, Jackson handled return duties at times and looked great doing so.

Could Gabriel have a spot as a return man, depending on how the roster shakes out? He certainly has the speed, but hasn’t been a special teams guy in recent years.

In any event, the Bears have a lot of options when it comes to the return game. I would personally love to see them throw Cohen back on punts, but at the same time be careful with his usage because he is definitely most affective in the back field.
