The Chicago Bulls won’t be huge players in free agency this year. But, if some miracle were to happen, who would you most want them to sign?

As we continue our look into the Chicago Bulls’ offseason plans, questions and overall outlook, I am here to tell the fans one thing: Don’t stop believing.

Alright, I got my cheesy Journey reference out of the way. Now, onto the real point at hand.

The Bulls have little to no chance at being players this summer when it comes to adding premier names via free agency, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen. Crazier deals have been made, more outlandish signings have taken place and, let’s be honest, in today’s sports world, nothing should surprise you — especially in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

The Philadelphia 76ers went from zero to hero in a short amount of time. The Indiana Pacers found themselves in the thick of the Eastern Conference’s elite without a superstar. The Toronto Raptors won 59 games, then proceeded to get swept in the playoffs and fired their coach just days later — who, by the way, won this year’s NBA Coach of the Year.

And, let’s not forget, the Boston Celtics have been the most incredible story of these 2018 NBA Playoffs. They are shocking the basketball world without the likes of Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving — no one saw that coming.

No one saw that coming.

Keep those words in the back of your mind as we move into these five players the Bulls could only hope to have a shot at this offseason. I know what most of you are thinking: “It’s not going to happen.”

Well, if everything was already set in stone, there would be no offseason. There would be zero contract negotiations, zero free agency tours and absolutely nothing to talk about over the summer.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the thought of any one of these players dressed in the black and red, playing for the Chicago Bulls.
