Chicago White Sox vs. Chicago Cubs Series Preview
The Chicago White Sox stroll into Wrigley Field this weekend to take on the Chicago Cubs. Bragging rights and much more are on the line.
This weekend marks the first installment of the 2018 Crosstown Cup between the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs. After this weekend, the teams won’t meet again until September. The two teams enter the series looking to secure much more than bragging rights.
The rivalry between the two teams runs deep, dating back to the early 1900s. After some negotiations, Comiskey moved his team to Chicago and named them the White Stockings (the original name of the Cubs)
