Green Bay Packers (9-7), second place

If Aaron Rodgers hadn’t injured his collarbone in Week 6, the Packers probably would’ve gone to the playoffs yet again. And they likely would’ve found a way to somehow win a first-round playoff game despite having a below-average/mediocre team because Rodgers is unfair.

But that’s not what happened. And unfortunately, because that didn’t happen, the Packers decided that they should have a really big draft to make up for it.

In the first two rounds of this year’s draft, Green Bay essentially countered the Bears’ revamping at receiver with two potentially elite corners: Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson. Pair that with Kevin King, and you have three really good young DBs that could pester NFC North quarterbacks for a while.

Then, they added some explosive young talent at wide receiver, specifically J’Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown, to compete for the right to catch Rodgers’ passes.

Come hell or high water, the Packers typically find a way to make the playoffs with a healthy Rodgers. Why should this year be different? Pencil them in for one of the NFC’s Wild Card spots.
