Can Chicago Bears compete to win the NFC North in 2018?
Minnesota Vikings (12-4), first place
Of course, we’re doing this just based on how the team looks on paper. If we know anything, it’s that the NFL is enormously unpredictable at times.
That said, man…it’s really hard to imagine that this team won’t win the division for a second straight season.
They just added Kirk Cousins, who, while not elite, is definitely better than Sam Bradford or Case Keenum (no disrespect intended to his play last season). And I have a tough time believing that he won’t make this offense a bit more of a threat.
Plus, no one in the division had to deal with Dalvin Cook in the regular season last year. Though we’ll have to see how he’s recovering from his ACL tear, that’s still an important addition to the Vikings’ offense.
And the defense returns generally intact with the addition of a few young players in cornerback Mike Hughes and defensive end Jayln Holmes that can make them that could help them reload and potentially improve at those positions.
Long story short: the Minnesota Vikings have the most complete team in the NFC North. And even though the Packers have the best player in the division, he can’t win games all by himself.
