Well, that was certainly an exciting last few days with lots of new personnel added to the Chicago Bears roster. Let’s take an updated look at the Bears’ depth chart heading into the summer.

The dust of the 2018 NFL Draft has officially settled. Analysts are already handing out grades and so far, there have been lots of high marks for the Chicago Bears. Ryan Pace somehow found a way to outdo himself after some solid classes the last few years.

The expectation for this group is that several of the new guys that should be able to contribute right away. In fact, some of them were drafted to be starters out fo the gate.

This team already looks far different from when it did a year ago and that’s for the better. Given that Ryan Pace has done a pretty good job with the roster shuffling the last few years, he’s getting to that point where he hopefully has his Mona Lisa. He’s come a long way fixing this team since inheriting the nightmare that was covered in Phil Emery’s fingerprints.

This is by far the best roster the Chicago Bears have had on paper in years. Whether Matt Nagy can put it together for him with a challenging schedule in a difficult division and conference is a different story altogether.

I will say it is a little sad to not having anything exciting to look forward to for a while. The preseason doesn’t even start for a few months.

Things will start to quiet down a little as we prepare to speculate the upcoming rookie mini-camp. In the meantime, let’s take a quick gander at what the new and improved Bears depth chart might look like.
