Chicago Bears: Get hyped watching Anthony Miller’s top plays
By Ryan Heckman
Shiftiness and body control
The Antonio Brown comparisons may sound crazy, but not when you dive even deeper into what makes Miller so unique.
Take a look at another aspect of Miller’s game: His natural ability to control his body and put himself in the best position to make the grab. It is no wonder why he gets comparisons to Antonio Brown, because Brown is the best in the business in this aspect of the game. To be able to turn your body every which way when the ball is in the air puts you a split-second ahead of a defensive back — and sometimes, that’s all you need.
One of my favorite wide receivers in this draft was DJ Moore out of Maryland. Why? He is extremely shifty. He’s a guy that the Carolina Panthers will be able to use on these little screen plays and he can take it to the house on any given play — so can Miller.
The difference, obviously, is that the Bears got this type of talent in the second round. Miller plays slippery. He’s got great footwork, but he also moves his body in ways to avoid tackles that might be real subtle unless you look closer. The guy doesn’t want to be tackled — period. It shows.
