In case you haven’t already seen this, one of these athletic profiles belongs to Anthony Miller. The other belongs to New York Giants superstar receiver Odell Beckham, Jr.

Yeah…I didn’t know he was like that, either.
Imagine that: Miller shares legitimate athletic comparisons to OBJ but plays a style that unmistakably reminds one of Pittsburgh Steelers All-World receiver Antonio Brown.
Anyone else really interested to see this in action? Yeah, me too.
Long story short, Miller is a pure playmaker from the start of the play until the very finish.
For one thing, have fun staying in front of him at the line of scrimmage. His footwork, herky-jerky moves with the rest of his body and war-like mentality against press coverage make him a “bear” to cover man-to-man.

I mean, come on. I know it’s college, but how many college receivers do you see shaking corners down like that regularly?
From a skill standpoint, you probably can’t find a route in any playbook that he isn’t able to run. Most importantly, he’s shown that he can get open on any route he runs at every level as well.

Also, if you want to see another reason why Miller fits perfectly with Mitchell Trubisky and the Chicago Bears, just watch him execute a scramble drill.
When the chaos of the play takes over and Trubisky uses his legs, Miller’s the kind of receiver that will make the right decisions when breaking off routes. So maybe now when Trubisky scrambles and keeps his eyes downfield, he’ll actually have somewhere to go with the football.
And if that weren’t enough, he has the ball skills to come down with catches like this…

and this in the red zone…

and the moves in the open field to turn a chunk play into a house call.

In short, there’s very little Miller straight up isn’t capable of as a wide receiver. And that’s something we haven’t been able to stay about a Chicago Bears wide receiver pick in quite some time.
