Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace knows he nailed this year’s NFL Draft. He and Matt Nagy spoke very highly of each draft pick made over the weekend.

Chicago Bears fans, go ahead and get excited. This weekend was all about you. It was all about me. It was all about people who have supported this team their entire lives and now see a team with a passionate leadership team ready to go to work.

The 2018 NFL Draft was a huge success — not just in my mind, or the minds of fans or the organization itself. Even guys like Mike Mayock think the Bears hit a home run over the span of the draft.

The Bears, throughout the draft, addressed many needs. Some may think they were out of order, however general manager Ryan Pace and head coach Matt Nagy never veered off the road of their big board. They went truly best player available in their minds, and it just so happened to work out in a way where they could address some holes in a major way.

What exactly did Pace and Nagy think of each pick, though? I’d love to have been a fly on the wall of that draft room.

Real briefly, I thought it would be great for fans to know what the thought process was behind each pick. Both Pace and Nagy spoke about every pick made over the weekend, and it gave everybody a bit more to be excited about with all of the new faces at Halas Hall.
