The Chicago Bears have traded back into the second round, dealing two future picks to the Patriots in order to select Memphis wide receiver Anthony Miller.

All throughout the day, the Chicago Bears have been rumored as a candidate to trade into the second round of the NFL Draft.

Now, it has happened.

The Chicago Bears have traded a fourth-round pick this year (105) and next year’s second-round pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for the 51st-overall pick.

And with that pick, the Chicago Bears have selected Anthony Miller, a wide receiver from Memphis.

Miller was viewed at as a potential first-rounder by several scouts and analysts.

More from Da Windy City

The Bears have now addressed all three major needs in the 2018 NFL Draft, selecting Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith, Iowa center James Daniels, and now Miller.

Miller figures to fit into Matt Nagy’s style of offense, given the fact that he is one of the fastest players in the entire draft.

A former walk-on, Miller will look to step into the Bears offense and make an impact immediately. The Bears have given Mitch Trubisky a young weapon, sacrificing two picks in the process.

As aforementioned, Ryan Pace and the front office have done a spectacular job of filling the Bears’ holes in this draft. Miller looks to be one of the final pieces to the puzzle, especially with the Bears being confident enough to give up two future picks in the process.

Next: Chicago Bears select James Daniels

Days 1 and 2 have been as good as Chicago Bears fans could’ve hoped up to this point. The Bears will now look to add defensive depth tomorrow in rounds four-seven, despite the fact that the Bears are now down one pick.

Another terrific pick by Ryan Pace and the guys this draft. Anthony Miller looks to be a serious impact player and will grow alongside Mitch Trubisky as cornerstones of the Bears offense.

Welcome to Chicago, Anthony Miller!
