Top 10 Chicago Bulls of the 21st century
By Ryan Heckman
6. Kirk Hinrich
Kirk Hinrich will always be a Chicago Bull, no matter what. Having spent a little time with the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards, Hinrich’s career was spent in Chicago for the most part. He was as classy of a player and pro as you will find.
Six out of his first seven years in the NBA, Hinrich averaged double-digit points. In five of those years, he averaged over six assists per game as well. Hinrich was always known as a pretty gritty guy and because of it, found himself picking up rebounds consistently. During those first seven seasons, he averaged anywhere from three to four rebounds per game also.
What Hinrich may be remembered for the most, though, is him topping the Bulls’ list of all-time three pointers made. Yes, even ahead of some of the greats like Jordan, Pippen and Kerr — Hinrich could launch from deep with the best of them.
Fun fact about Hinrich: He is one of only five rookies ever to record six three-point field goals and 10 assists in a game — that includes company like Stephen Curry, Jason Kidd, Damon Stoudemire and Lonzo Ball. Alright, that last name doesn’t quite belong among company such as that just yet, but you get the point.
