Week 14: Home against Los Angeles Rams

There has been no team more hyped-up over the offseason than the Los Angeles Rams. Coming off a year where their offense exploded behind third-year running back Todd Gurley, Los Angeles took some time to add to the other side of the ball over the offseason.

We all know the Rams can score points in a hurry. Sean McVay has done a tremendous job with this franchise in just one year — a job that Bears fans are hoping Matt Nagy can replicate in Chicago. But, they had some building blocks on defense already as well.

To go along with the best defensive player in football, Aaron Donald, the Rams kept safety Lamarcus Joyner via the franchise tag while trading for a pair of stud cornerbacks to replace Trumaine Johnson, who they let go in free agency. The Rams brought in Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters via trade, giving them one heck of a tandem at cornerback.

Oh, and by the way, they signed Ndamukong Suh. Not only do they have Donald, but now an even meaner defensive juggernaut in Suh. Also, have you seen Donald recently?

I’m pretty sure Donald thinks he’s switching to linebacker, but I could be mistaken. No, I’m mistaken. He’s just a physical freak.

The Rams will likely be competing for playoff positioning this late in the season, especially with the likes of that up-and-coming 49ers team mixed into the same division. For the Bears, they have to be thankful this matchup is at Soldier Field. If it was on the road, it would have the potential to get out of hand quickly if they weren’t careful.
