Chicago Bears: Final 7-round mock draft
Pre-Combine Mock Selection: Greg Senat, Tackle, Wagner
Pre-Free Agency Mock Selection: Troy Apke, Safety, Penn State
I think something the Bears shouldn’t do is be happy with their stable of running backs. Outside of Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen, there isn’t a ton set in stone.
Benny Cunningham was recently resigned, which should be helpful for special teams. But his appearances on offense last year were unnecessary.
They also have the mystery in Taquan Mizzell, a final camp cut of the Baltimore Ravens last fall. Ryan Pace decided to waive Jeremy Langford and pick this guy up. So, there is some reason why he’s on the roster, but the guy was mostly a weekly inactive. The fact that he there wasn’t an attempt to waive and stash him on the practice squad makes him a wild card.
That in mind, I would like to go with someone who has been crowbarring his way into the later rounds in most mock drafts.

Chase Edmonds only started seven games last season due to leg injuries. The most unfortunate thing about that is that he missed the chance to break the all-time FCS rushing record. However, Edmonds was very productive at Fordham and did show some athletic and bursty traits.
As with Harrison, he was playing weaker competition. But there’s a very probable chance Edmonds will never need to make starts or be a bell-cow back.
When you consider him a part of a committee, then you can use him to give Howard and Cohen some breathers.
Next: Tarik Cohen: Wide Receiver?
My personal concern with him is that he absolutely needs to improve in pass protection. Being the last line of defense is critical when defenses send multiple blitzes at once. Improvement here can separate him from a weakly inactive versus a practice squad body.
