Doubling up?
Well, I did say that the Bears aren’t super deep at edge rusher. So why not double-dip into SEC county?
That said, Haynes will fill a need for Chicago as a designated pass rusher. Having fresh bodies to throw at Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford, and Kirk Cousins will be essential to stalling the NFC North offenses.
The former Rebel is actually smaller than Arden Key but understands how to use that to his advantage. Shifting weight and length correctly and being able to avoid tackle’s led to quite a bit of his overall success at Ole Miss. His speed also does quite help a bit, as he has a good motor to chase down and not give up on the play. So he does resemble Floyd in that regard.
One of his major drawbacks is that he will likely get swallowed up in the run game at the next level. You could probably attribute that to his size, but hopefully, that shouldn’t matter a ton.
Because he’ll be out there to sack the passer, not drop into coverage or play the run.
