13. Wide receiver DJ Moore, Maryland

DJ Moore might be my favorite wide receiver in the draft. He is incredibly versatile and one of the most explosive players, period, in all of this draft class. The former Maryland Terrapin could come in right away and most likely win the WR2 job throughout training camp.

Moore is a bit shorter than Sutton at 6-feet even, but he boasts just as much strength and even more speed. Running a 4.42 40-yard dash at the combine, Moore wowed everybody even though he weighs in at 210 pounds. Not many people saw that speed coming with his thick, strong frame. But, alas, he made it happen.

For the Bears to be interested in Moore at the no. 7 spot in the second round, most importantly, they will obviously have not traded for an additional first-round pick. It would be hard to pass up a receiver late in the first if they have already gotten their hands on either Nelson or a pass rusher.

I know, reaching on a wideout late in the first might not be the smartest move. But, think of it more of a luxury and necessity type of selection. Chicago needs to come away with a solid receiver in the draft. If they have the chance to grab one later in the first after a trade happens, why not? Moore’s stock continues to skyrocket and some even believe he’s the best receiver in this draft.
