Bradley Chubb is considered the best edge rush prospect in this draft and there is no close second. Chubb, at 6-foot-4, 269 pounds, has drawn comparisons to San Diego Chargers pass rusher Joey Bosa. Chubb has good combination of size and athleticism.

When it comes to Chubb, he’€™s a guy that can beat opposing offensive tackles in multiples ways. He has the strength to abuse opposing tackles with a power rush. If the tackle is slow footed out of his stance, he’€™s plenty fast enough to blow past the blocker. Chubb is no one-trick pony as a pass rusher, as he has an array of pass rush moves to keep opposing offensive tackle off-balance throughout the game.

With the Bears, Chubb would be the best possible outcome at pick number eight. However, the likelihood of him dropping to number eight is very slim. If the Bears want Chubb, they will have to hope he slips past more than a few teams ahead them that have a need for a pass rusher.

They will also most likely need to find a trade partner to move up to select Chubb. A team to keep an eye on is the Denver Broncos. If they have an eye on a specific quarterback but he doesn’t€™ drop to them, they could opt to trade down.

For the Bears, Chubb is one of the few prospects that is worth trading up for. A move like that would further signify that general manager Ryan Pace is in win-now mode.
