Many fans know who to look out for in the early rounds, but who could the Chicago Bears select in the middle rounds of this year’s draft?

Quenton Nelson. Roquan Smith. Minkah Fitzpatrick. Tremaine Edmunds. We have all heard those names more often than we’d like to admit recently. The Chicago Bears could end up selecting one of those big names early with their no. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

But, beyond those bigger names, do we know who to look out for later on in the draft? The Bears cannot address all of their needs in just the first two rounds, of course. Most of the focus is on the players who will hear their names called during that time frame, but we can’t forget about the later rounds.

Just last season, Ryan Pace did himself and the Bears huge favors by drafting Eddie Jackson and Tarik Cohen in the fourth round alone. Listen, if you’re excited for the draft but only plan on paying attention to the first or second rounds, you will be missing out.

Pace is paying attention to all types of prospects, I can assure you of that. If his history in the draft is any indication, he’ll be looking for a home run or two beyond the third and fourth rounds — and he’s proven he can do it.

Right now, I want to focus on the middle rounds, specifically the fourth and fifth. There are so many guys who could fall between those two rounds that it gets real gray when trying to evaluate the talent. But, here are five specific players who the Bears could wind up deciding on during the two rounds and may turn into big-time contributors.
