Chicago Bears: Complete 7-round mock draft 2.0

When you look at Senat’s measurables, you kind of wonder how in the world he could fall to Round 7 or be a priority free agent.
He stands 6-foot-6, weighs 302 pounds and has almost 35-inch arms and 10-inch hands. Aside from maybe a little more bulk, he absolutely looks the part of an ideal NFL tackle.

Without a doubt, the former basketball player has also plenty of natural athletic traits for a big man, being able to slide and move in pass protection and to run in space.
With Senat, it’s all about the seasoning from a technique standpoint and simply getting his body NFL-ready.
Though he looks the part in a raw sense, he doesn’t have the functional strength right now to succeed in the NFL. He would need to spend a ton of time packing on pounds and living in the weight room as a rookie.
Also, having played just two seasons at Wagner, he has a lot to learn about playing tackle in a broad sense. He has a lot of technique issues to clean up, such as letting speed rushers get into his body and staying balanced in his pass sets.
Next: Potential replacements for Jordan Howard in the draft
Chances are that he’d end up on the practice squad his first year or would make the roster as an inactive player every week.
But if the Chicago Bears did grab him at the end of the draft, be assured that the potential is there. And his athletic ability makes him an intriguing option at tackle in Nagy’s fast-paced “Spread Coast” offense.
