Chicago Bears: 5 intriguing draft prospects team has met with
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears have been doing their homework on several prospects for the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft.
Oh, yes, it is finally that time of year. March Madness? No, guess again. It’s April, folks. That means it’s time to get even more excited for our Chicago Bears and the upcoming draft. We are now just 24 short days away from one of the best weekends of the year — the 2018 NFL Draft.
While Chicago has done very well adding and subtracting necessary pieces over the course of free agency, nevertheless, Ryan Pace has some work to do. Fortunately for the Bears, they have seven picks in this year’s draft and are in great position at the top with the no. 8 selection.
Funny enough, Pace has turned one of the primary weaknesses on the roster into an ascending strength. Yes, I am referring to the wide receivers. Adding Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel was a huge gap filled. But, could they continue to add to that position in order to create even more competition?
Based on their meetings, one could say that’s the case.
Other areas of more serious concern are on the offensive line and on the edge of their front seven. Chicago has certainly done a fair share of homework on these two spots, and currently have met with a handful of players whom could fill the voids.
Per Aaron Leming, we know several of the players Chicago has spent time with up to this point. The following are just five, in no particular order, whom the Bears have met with and could end up going after.
