Could the Oakland Raiders be a trade partner for a particular defensive player?

The Oakland Raiders are in desperate need of help among their secondary. Two players that many fans in Oakland have talked about are both expected to go in the top-10: Denzel Ward and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

When the Bears are on the clock at number eight, if either of those guys are still available, the Raiders may hop on the phone with Pace and see what they could get done. Just after the Bears are the 49ers, who still could see a need at corner even after the addition of Richard Sherman.

The Raiders’ pass defense ranked 26th overall a year ago, giving up 241 yards per game through the air. The most startling statistic coming from their secondary, though, was the lack of interceptions made. The Raiders were dead last in the NFL in this category, with just five picks over the course of the 2017 season.

With the Raiders trading up to number eight, they would send over the 10th overall pick to Chicago, along with their fourth-rounder, pick number 112 overall. The Bears move back just two spots and net another draft pick, likely being able to snag one of the top players on their board at 10.
