The Bears got immensely better at the wide receiver position.

Allen Robinson

The first domino to fall for the Bears in their run during free agency was that of wide receiver Allen Robinson. Coming from a place where he and his former quarterback weren’t necessarily on the same page, Robinson appears ready and excited to work with Trubisky.

Robinson gives the Bears offense a true number one threat in all aspects. He has the speed to beat guys down the field but also possesses an incredible catch radius. In 2015 and 2016, the former Penn State standout produced 20 receiving touchdowns and over 2,000 yards — that production is more than welcome in Chicago.

In Matt Nagy’s offense, Robinson should flourish alongside some other talented guys the Bears added. One of them, coming by way of Atlanta, brings a bit of speed himself.

Grade: A

Taylor Gabriel

When asked if he believes if he is the fastest man in the NFL, Gabriel told Chicago reporters, simply:

"“Uh, yeah.”"

It was almost nonchalant and modest, but you could tell he believed it by the smile he gave everyone. Gabriel will come in and give Nagy and the Bears something exciting to look forward to in the aerial attack.

Gabriel is a threat for busting a big play at any minute, and his speed and footwork help him do it. Pace hit another home run with this addition, simply because he will fill a specific role quite well.
