5 Chicago athletes to go on Spring Break vacation with
By Ryan Heckman
Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks
If you are a Chicago sports fan, you knew who would end up on this list. Come on, why wouldn’t Patrick Kane belong on a list like this?
Obviously, Kane has been seen having his fair share of fun in public. I won’t hold any of that against him like others will. The guy likes to have a good time, and he’s just now getting to that age over the last couple of years where the party scene might tend to evaporate.
So, why not one last run with the legend himself?
You can’t tell me he doesn’t look like he’d be a blast to hang out with for a week. Even for a guy like me, who doesn’t do too much in the area of “partying” — blame the things called “children” and “responsibilities” in my life — I might have to go out with he and the guys, even for just one night.
Kane came into the NHL as a kid — a kid who happened to be one of the best hockey players in the world. The fame and money that came along with the new gig might have been a bit much to handle at first, but he seems to have gotten a grasp on things.
I’d also like to think that, as competitive and intense as he is, we’d have a jam-packed week filled with nonstop action. There would never be a dull moment. Give me Kane on Spring Break any day. That would be a heck of a ride.
