The Cleveland Browns end up in an ideal situation as they not only get their quarterback, but the best overall player in the draft.

In this perfect scenario for the Cleveland Browns, they walk away with not only their franchise quarterback in Darnold, but the best overall player in the draft. Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is said to be atop everyone’s draft boards, but likely won’t go number one due to other needs of the first few teams.

It sure would be something if Barkley fell to the Bears. Let’s just say that somehow it happened. What would they do with Jordan Howard? In this instance, the Bears don’t have to worry about that — but it sure is interesting to speculate.

Now, the Browns get Barkley alongside a capable running mate and/or backup in Carlos Hyde, whom they brought in via free agency a few weeks back. There will be plenty of firepower on that offense if this mock comes to fruition, which I believe could very well happen.

With Barkley gone, it’s only the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers that have yet to pick before the Bears are on the clock. What kind of needs will those teams choose to address? Well, for starters, the Broncos may surprise some of us by going in a direction some may not see coming.
