Chicago Bears: Mocking picks 1-8 of 2018 NFL Draft
By Ryan Heckman
The New York Jets get their quarterback at number three overall, selecting Josh Allen out of Wyoming.
We have a second quarterback off the board at number three overall with Josh Allen out of Wyoming going to the New York Jets. After the Jets completed a blockbuster trade with the Indianapolis Colts last week, it was all but told that they are in line to get their quarterback.
While many thought it was far too much to give up, and I was one of them, you have to give the Jets credit for going after what they want. Like Pace, Mike Maccagnan is sticking to his guns and the plan he has set in place. If he firmly believes Allen is the guy, which I think he does, then he is doing whatever it takes to get him.
With Allen off the board, the teams in need of a quarterback will now turn to either Josh Rosen or Baker Mayfield in the coming picks. Which one will go first?
The Bears would now be sitting pretty as one of three top-tier talents could be falling to them at number eight overall. But, the Browns are about to snatch one of them off the board. It will all work out in the end for Chicago, though.
