Minkah Fitzpatrick, safety

The Bears currently have a solid secondary, but they don’t have guys that can make plays on the football. Fuller got his hands on a lot of footballs last season but only came away with two interceptions. Fans hope that he improves on that number in 2018 considering the money he got.

Amukamara is solid in coverage, but he too also struggles to make plays on the football. Jackson has the potential to be a playmaker at the free safety spot, and hopefully, we see that jump year two. Amos is reliable, however, he struggles to make plays on the football despite being a former cornerback at Penn State.

These players could improve in 2018, but Pace should take notice and add to the secondary. Minkah Fitzpatrick is a playmaker that can be a difference maker in Fangio secondary. You can use him as a nickel linebacker against the run and as a blitzer.

He can also play high safety or come down as a nickel back and defend against slot WR’s. He has the speed to close in on the ball and make a play. Fitzpatrick would be a weapon in the secondary Fangio hasn’t had since he’s been a defensive coordinator.
