With the heavy legwork of free agency over for the Chicago Bears, what’s next for general manager Ryan Pace? We assume the shift in focus is towards the 2018 NFL draft.

The Chicago Bears made big-time splashes in the first week of free agency, nearly clearing up big needs at wide receiver, tight end, cornerback and kicker.

At wide receiver, the Bears added a No. 1 wide receiver in Allen Robinson, tendering the promising young Cameron Meredith and bringing in speedy slot wide receiver weapon in Taylor Gabriel. They also went out and added a versatile weapon at tight end in Trey Burton. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky’s 2018 already looks promising with the upgrade in passing targets at his disposal.

With the focus dominantly on offense, the Bears didn’t neglect defense. Chicago rewarded cornerback Prince Amukamara with a new contract. Kyle Fuller was surprisingly signed to an offer sheet by the Green Bay Packers, only to see Bears Pace match the offer with a 4-year, $56 million deal with $18 million guaranteed.

Even with the big first week in free agency, the Bears still have work to do with the roster. They likely will add some second-wave free agents, and, as with the recent Aaron Lynch signing, you can expect a few more one-year prove it deals to be added.

Aside from that, however, you have to assume that Pace’s primary focus is the 2018 NFL Draft. The Bears will have seven picks coming into this year, including a much-anticipated one in the top 10.

With the recent additions to the roster, we try to get an idea of what the Bears draft board looks like for that No. 8 overall pick.
