1. The “Trubisky Effect” is alive and well.

Just how clear could it get that Pace and Nagy are all-in on their franchise quarterback? They have spent every waking minute during this first week of free agency committed to surrounding him with talent — and they might not be done.

If any of you watched the Robinson introductory press conference on Thursday, you noticed a few quotes stick out by the new Bears receiver. One of them, particularly regarding his new quarterback, caught my attention.

"“My job is not to make his job easier. It’s to make his job easy.“"

Coming from a situation in Jacksonville where he clearly didn’t see eye to eye with Blake Bortles — and the frustration was obvious — Robinson looks confident and excited to get to work with Trubisky. It says a lot about a young quarterback when a guy of Robinson’s stature gives such a sure-fire answer about what he came to do in Chicago.

People are excited to play with Trubisky. It is evident — and it’s about time the Bears had a quarterback like that.

Last season, I specifically remember an interview done with some of the members of the Bears’ offensive line. Chris Emma of 670 The Score wrote up the piece and I’ll never forget it.

To sum it up, Trubisky’s offensive linemen knew immediately that the huddle belonged to number 10. If he didn’t like something that was done or said in the huddle, he would let them know and in a hurry.

Guys like Kyle Long and Hroniss Grasu actually seemed excited to be screamed at by their rookie quarterback — in practice. In the words of Allen Iverson, we are talking about practice — not a game. Trubisky took practice just as serious as he took Sundays, and he would let his group know immediately if he wasn’t happy with how things were going.
