Chicago Bears Free Agency: Day two recap, day three preview
By Ryan Heckman
The Bears might not be done on day two, but day three will likely be a bit more tempered.
Already, as of 8:00PM Central Time, the Bears are reportedly closing in on a deal to bring back Prince Amukamara to line up opposite Kyle Fuller at cornerback.
While Amukamara was solid last year, don’t rule out the Bears going after another corner — along with finding one in the draft. Guys like E.J. Gaines or Rashaan Melvin might be intriguing for Pace, although their price tags may also be a bit too high.
Day three, also known as the first day of free agency — officially — will feature the time in which teams can actually announce the signings they have agreed to. More importantly, though, there are also a lot of names out there still that Chicago could be looking at.
Marquise Flowers is a name I could see Vic Fangio going after as an edge rusher. He wouldn’t necessarily be starting-caliber, but would give them solid depth in the rotation. Another one to watch out for is Trent Murphy. It’s likely the Bears won’t be big spenders at this position now, and will address it via the draft.

Offensive line is another area the Bears could make a move at on Wednesday. While Zach Fulton appears likely to sign with the Texans, his destination is still not official. Keep an eye out for Fulton as well as some additional bargain deals up front.
