Chicago Bears: Post-Combine/Pre-Free Agency Mock Draft
Pre-combine pick: D.J. Moore, WR
The University of Kansas isn’t exactly a school known for churning out NFL prospects. However, they have had their moments (like Chris Harris Jr.). They will soon have another one in Dorance Armstrong Jr.

This guy actually played as a 4-3 defensive end in college but might not have the body size to do the same in the NFL (6’4″, 257 lbs). Teams are probably looking at him as more of a pass-rusher when he joins the big leagues.
This, of course, means he needs to comfortable standing up and dropping back into coverage at times.
Lucky for him, he has a great defensive staff around him to allow him to be successful. It’s also probably not worth reading into his stats on the season (two sacks total). Armstrong was tasked with playing the run and the pass as opposed to a designated pass-rusher.
Edge-rusher is one of the Bear’s top priorities this offseason. Adding Armstrong will at least provide depth and gives them a likely starter down the road.
