Chicago Bears aggressively pursuing Allen Robinson, according to reports
By Ryan Heckman
There are now multiple reports of the Chicago Bears going very hard after free agent wide receiver Allen Robinson.
It is almost here, Bears fans. The legal tampering period opens Monday and Ryan Pace can begin doing some real work in free agency. Who will he target right off the bat? Well, one of the hotter names linked to Chicago has been former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson.
It appears that the Bears will be going “hot” after Robinson; “all in” was also a term used heavily Sunday afternoon. Now, there are a few people who have made it official that the Bears will be doing just that.
Of course, La Canfora hasn’t always been right when it comes to the Bears and their offseason plans. That’s why it is interesting to see additional reports with Robinson linked heavily to the Bears.
Even the infamous Walter Football believes the Bears are hot after Robinson.
If the Bears were to land Robinson in the early stages of free agency, Ryan Pace would have an enormous monkey off his back. It would almost make the entire free agency period that much easier for several reasons.
First, Robinson makes Chicago an even more appealing destination for fellow free agents. Second, the receiver position is immediately improved with adding a guy like him. Mitchell Trubisky will be one of the happier men on the planet if this comes to fruition, and the offense will undoubtedly be able to build on the momentum of adding Robinson.

The only concern for Robinson is that he is coming off a torn ACL last season. While sports medicine has greatly improved, and athletes come back from those injuries much more often than not, it still raises a red flag. But, at this point, the Bears are so desperate at the position that Robinson is more than worth the risk.
