With free agency approaching rapidly, I take a look at some of the top cornerbacks the Chicago Bears could pair with Kyle Fuller.
It’s almost that time, Bears fans. Already, there are rumblings of deals being agreed to and the legal tampering period hasn’t even begun yet. But, teams are eager to get going with this year’s free agency frenzy, and I imagine the Bears are one of the most anxious.
One of the highlights of the offseason thus far has been the decision by Vic Fangio to stay in Chicago. He seemed genuinely excited to continue the work he has put in with this defense. Last year, the Bears surprisingly finished inside the top 10 overall defensively.

A second decision, and maybe just as important, was made to place the transition tag on cornerback Kyle Fuller. Coming off his best season as a pro. Fuller seemed to finally come into his own — and just in time.
With his rookie contract expiring after the Bears refused to pick up his fifth year option a season ago, Fuller played his best football in 2017 and looks to be on his way to a rewarding long-term deal with the Bears.
In the meantime, the Bears have some work to do in order to add depth alongside Fuller. Not only do they need a second starting corner, but they need to ensure their nickel cornerback is in place as well. I don’t doubt that Chicago will be adding multiple corners in free agency, and here I take a look at just five options that may work out for the Bears.
