2. G/C Zach Fulton

Zach Fulton is one of the more interesting free agents available, specifically for the Bears. He is a guy that has experience playing both center and guard, which would bode well for a Chicago offensive line that has seen multiple guys switch positions at times.

Both Kyle Long and Cody Whitehair have played multiple positions over the last couple of years, and some consistency would be phenomenal for the two of them. Whether Fulton would play guard or center wouldn’t necessarily be figured out until camp, but it would give the Bears a lot of flexibility.

Fulton played for Nagy all four of his seasons in Kansas City, so he should know him very well. Being able to help his fellow linemen along in learning the offense and speeding up the process, specifically for the guards and centers, would be a huge benefit.

It always takes time for an offensive group to learn a brand new playbook. Fulton would aide in that process greatly.

Coming off his rookie deal, Fulton will be looking to cash in a bit. However, he won’t demand the kind of money an Andrew Norwell would. This could be a plus for Pace and the Bears if they want to spend money elsewhere in free agency — eh em, wide receiver.

Fulton boasts a 6’5″, 316-pound frame and is still only 26 years old. If Pace wants the youth movement to continue with full steam ahead, Fulton would be an excellent signing for the Bears going forward.
