If the Chicago Bears drafted Tremaine Edmunds No. 8 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, they’d be getting arguably their most athletically gifted defender since Brian Urlacher.

Right now, the best part about the Chicago Bears’ upcoming draft is that no one can really pinpoint what Ryan Pace will do with the No. 8-overall pick.

Will he trade up for someone like Minkah Fitzpatrick or Quenton Nelson (very doubtful, but still a question)? Or does he stay put and hope for one of them to fall to him?

Will he trade a wide receiver, especially if the Bears can’t lure Allen Robinson, Sammy Watkins or Jarvis Landry to Chicago?

Will he trade back and grab someone else in the middle of the round?

The options are seriously boundless right now if you think about it. And anyone the Chicago Bears pick at that spot would conceivably fill a big need for them.

One guy that is picking up a lot of steam as the Chicago Bears’ potential pick at No. 8, and my personal favorite option, is Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.

If you didn’t watch the NFL Combine, let’s just say that the 19-year-old (!!) had peoples’ jaws falling all over the floor with his Brian Urlacher-esque athletic ability for a linebacker.

Oh, and he can play a little bit, too.

Here’s a quick film look at Edmunds’ strengths and weaknesses and why he’d be a tremendous pick for the Chicago Bears in the top 10 of the 2018 NFL Draft.
