Naturally, the playmaking Josh Jackson is the player that comes to mind when you think of tall, lanky corners in the 2018 NFL Draft. And I’d contend that he has a chance to breach the top 10 with a strong pro day.

Interestingly, though, Oliver impressed more than Jackson did, giving NFL teams another long, press coverage-type corner to consider.

And when I say “long”, I mean that his arms almost scrape his knees while standing. In that sense, he remains you somewhat of Deiondre’ Hall, except that he’s better.

First off, he clocked a very impressive 4.51 40 at 6’1” and 200 pounds. Then again, perhaps that shouldn’t surprise us; he is a world-class track athlete, after all.

And though, as expected, his turns weren’t completely fluid, he moved his lanky frame well enough to look solid in drills. As long as he can change direction relatively quickly, he can unfurl his long limbs and get places fast.

Then, beware. His arms allow him to make plays a lot of guys can’t.

Now, unfortunately, he may have moved above the Chicago Bears’ second-round pay grade with his Combine performance. At this point, he could end up going at the end of the first round.

If he makes it to No. 39, though, he’ll be one of the best values available.
