Having watched the wide receiver class of 2018 at the NFL combine, which of them stood out as potential fits for the Chicago Bears under Matt Nagy?

Finding wide receivers in the NFL Draft has not been easy for the Chicago Bears. Well, actually, finding a wide receiver that can stay on the field and make an impact has been difficult via any avenue for the Bears over the last couple of years.

Since trading Brandon Marshall, Chicago hasn’t had a top notch wideout that was capable of staying healthy consistently. Even Alshon Jeffery struggled at times to keep himself on the field.

New head coach Matt Nagy has limited resources among his current receiving corps and will certainly not be satisfied with the likes of Kevin White, Joshua Bellamy and Cameron Meredith. Even Kendall Wright, if he returns, will be no where close to a number one option.

Looking at this year’s crop of talent at the position, there truly isn’t that clear-cut elite option that will come in and do the same things guys like Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins or Antonio Brown can do.

Although that may be the case, Nagy will be running an offense that doesn’t necessarily need that type of player. His playbook includes a lot of fun and exciting ways of getting the ball into many different players’ hands.

Already, fans cannot wait to see what Nagy does with Tarik Cohen. Outside of Cohen, though, the offense lacks additional game-changing type of players in the passing attack.

This past weekend, Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace has the opportunity to assess the 2018 draft class. Some of them surprised, while others disappointed. Even so, a few did just as they were expected to do.

Let’s take a look at just how well these guys performed at the combine. Additionally, how will they fit into the new offensive scheme?
