Chicago Bears Rumors: Albert Wilson part of Matt Nagy’s plan?
By Ryan Heckman
An interesting development at the NFL Combine proposes the Chicago Bears may be recruiting a familiar face to new head coach Matt Nagy.
The 2018 NFL Combine is upon us, and already the rumor mill is heating up regarding players who aren’t even part of this year’s class. The Chicago Bears are one of the more wide receiver-needy teams in football this offseason, and new head coach Matt Nagy will absolutely have a say in who Ryan Pace goes after in free agency.
Coming from the Kansas City Chiefs and their potent offense in 2017, Nagy knows a thing or two about a few key free agents this year. One of them, wide receiver Albert Wilson, may already be on his way to Chicago.

Chiefs general manager Brett Veach had an interesting response when asked about Wilson potentially joining the Bears.
Wilson, only 25 years old, is one of the younger free agent wide receivers the Bears could target. Coming off his best season as a pro where he was definitely more involved, Wilson posted 42 receptions for 554 yards and three scores.
Those numbers may not tell the whole story to just how underrated Wilson is.
A guy who can catch a contested ball? That’s unheard of in Chicago over the last year!
Wilson is definitely familiar with Nagy’s offense and would be a welcomed addition in terms of helping along his fellow receivers. New head coaches love to bring a former player or two over when switching teams, so do not underestimate the fact that Wilson has already been at the forefront of Pace’s mind.
