Forte tortures Carolina two years in a row

Aside from the Green Bay Packers, whom Forte routinely put up big numbers against, did any other team suffer as much at Forte’s hands as the Carolina Panthers did? Seriously, though.

Especially in those years before the Panthers straightened up their run defense, Forte absolutely annihilated them.

First, he went off for 166 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries against them on the road in 2010, including a career-long 68-yard score.

And the funny thing about this game? This was the week after Jay Cutler got his head bounced off the turf nine times in the first half against the New York Giants. As such, Forte had to do all this with Todd Collins and Caleb Hanie at quarterback.

Not bad, given that everyone knew they had to run the ball all day.

And then when the Panthers came to Soldier Field the next year, he one-upped himself.

Forte threw down a career-high 205 yards rushing, joining Gale Sayers and Walter Payton as the only Chicago Bears running backs to crack 200 yards in a game.

He simply ran wild, busting out 46, 40 and 20 yards in addition to a 17-yard touchdown.

Lest you forget that Forte could, and did, bust out for big plays on the regular, remember these games.
