Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Pre-Combine Edition
“With the 224th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select…”
Who? Don’t worry I had to do some background work on this one.
Greg Senat isn’t a typical small school prospect. In fact, he actually played on Wagner’s basketball team for four years.

Usually, when we think of basketball players making the switch to football, they tend to play tight end, like Jimmy Graham. However, Senat was able to find a place as the starting right tackle for his last two years with the Seahawks.
The cool thing about Senat is that he is very athletic thanks to his basketball background. This may prompt some teams to think about shifting him over to the left side of the line.

Regardless, he’ll need to get stronger and add more weight. One would also think that his technique is raw given the lack of experience. He can be taught and coached up in these areas over time. Besides, his upside is tantalizing.
That’s the beauty of the situation that Senat is going to be in. When players are drafted late as developmental pieces, they won’t be asked to start Week 1.
