“With the 115th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select…”

Wide Receiver. Penn State. Daesean Hamilton. 115. player. 57.

Not too many players have done more to improve their stock in the last couple of months than Daesean Hamilton.

The four-year starter was able to parlay an East-West Shrine Game appearance into a Senior Bowl invitation. Over in Mobile, he was able to show off his crisp route-running and soft hands.

More importantly, the guy gets open, something Bears receivers had issues with last year. Below shows the silky smooth route to go with a wide-open catch:

The biggest question for him will be how he runs this week. If he can run in or near the 4.50 mark in the 40, he would be doing himself a solid. A slow 40 could kill his stock.

Grabbing Hamilton here would be with the intent to bolster the back of the Bear’s receiving corp. It may seem unreasonable to expect him to be a Week 1 contributor.

However, anything should be on the table when it comes to upgrading the offense.
