“With the 39th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select…”

Maryland. D.J. Moore. 39. player. 57. . Wide Receiver

Anyone who watched the Mitchell Trubisky throw last year knows that he needs dire help. When your “leading receiver” goes for 614 yards, you have severe problems.

It only looks worse when your starters were Kendall Wright, Dontrelle Inman, and Joshua Bellamy. Not to mention that Markus Wheaton woefully flopped. Things could’ve been better had Cameron Meredith or even Kevin White not missed the whole season. Even still, that ensemble was pretty weak to begin with.

While Chicago will likely turn to free agency to solve this problem, they would be wise to draft young talent early.

Enter D.J Moore.

The 2017 Big Ten Receiver of the Year had to go through four different quarterbacks this year. Yikes. Having good quarterback to catch balls from should make him even better. It’s even more impressive when you consider that he was able to surpass 1,000 yards despite the lack of continuity.

The Terp product may not have the size or length that a lot of NFL teams tend to covet nowadays. However, Moore is a very physical pass-catcher who may look to carve out a role in the slot.

Maryland isn’t known for churning out a ton of NFL talent, but Moore is one of the exceptions.
