This week, the best NFL prospects will take over Lucas Oil Stadium in the annual NFL Scouting Combine. Let’s take a look at who the Chicago Bears might target in a pre-Combine mock draft.

After the NFL Combine, prospects tend to see their stock rise or crater. At times, we read too deeply into their numbers and their results and not their tape. Regardless, this Chicago Bears mock draft is all about what we know prior to the Combine.

As of today, the Bears have seven draft picks.

They possess the eighth, 39th, 105st, 115th, 145th, 181st, and the 224th selections. Even though they have two fourth-rounders, they do lack a third, which does hurt. Only having two picks in the top 100 spots means that they really need to hit on the first two rounds.

Ryan Pace has shown he isn’t shy when it comes to trading around in the draft to get his man or acquire more draft picks, so this could look much different come draft day.

To keep things simple, I will avoid trades. That said, I fully expect the Chicago Bears to be involved in some draft day deals. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

Let’s get into our seven-round mock of the 2018 NFL Draft.
