As a rebuilding team, it is extremely important to stock up young talent. The Chicago Bulls took a huge step in the right direction with this deal.
The Chicago Bulls haven’t had two first-round picks since 2014, and haven’t actually selected and kept two players in the first round since 2009 (James Johnson and Taj Gibson).
This year’s NBA Draft is viewed as top-heavy. With several potential superstars available at the top, many players who project to be selected in the teens are being slept on.
The pick figures to be slotted in the late teens, with the New Orleans Pelicans currently the seventh seed in the Western Conference (13th overall).
