Robin Lopez paid back Steve Kerr’s trolling with a troll job of his own on the first play of the game, putting the Chicago Bulls ahead by posterizing Jordan Bell.

First off, let me say that I hope that the Golden State Warriors’ Jordan Bell is going to be ok. Nobody wants to see anyone get hurt, especially so badly that they need a wheelchair to get off the court.

That said, Robin Lopez just recouped the cash considerations for Bell with authority.

On the game’s opening possession, Lopez found himself all alone in the middle of the lane off of a deflected pass and rolled to the rim. Bell, who was slow rotating over, jumped to greet him. Physics was not on the rookie’s side.

Bell proceeded to come down hard on his left foot and couldn’t walk off under his own power. And again, no one wants to see that.

But with the intrigue around Steve Kerr’s decision to start Bell, who acquired the rights to pick Bell in the second round of the 2017 draft from Chicago, this play brought an anticlimactic end to the young Warrior’s night.

Lopez also got a resounding dunk on the next possession off of a pick-and-roll feed from Zach LaVine, who went scoreless in his opening minutes.

Oh, and for fun, let’s include the play where Stephen Curry tried to embarrass Lauri Markkanen on the perimeter only to end up humiliated himself.

Normally, you don’t want to see anything resembling Markkanen switched onto Curry on the perimeter by himself. Actually, in no case do I want to see that.

But Markkanen held his own on the barrage of Curry moves and fakes and obliterated Curry’s layup attempt off of his face. The kid can do more than shoot, folks.

Sure, the Warriors started running away to an early lead—it was 27-17 with 4:44 left in the first quarter at last count. But hey, there were some fun moments for Chicago Bulls fans.

Plus, I think the “cash considerations” bit has now officially been put to bed.
