Top 15 all-time batting averages: 15-12

15/14. Danny Green/Charlie Hollocher (.304)

This list begins with two old-timers who were both born in the 1800’s. Yes, baseball has been around for THAT long.

In 7 seasons during his Cubs career, Hollocher played the majority of his games at the Shortstop position. In those seven seasons, he only played more than 100 games four different times. With his best season coming in 1922 when he finished with 201 hits for a .340 average.

12/13. Mark Grace/Jimmy Ryan (.308)

As one of the oldest members on this list, Jimmy Ryan began his career with the Cubs all the way back in 1885. He would go on to play 18 season in the MLB, with 16 of them coming with Chicago. His best season came in 1889 with 17 homers and a .325 average.

Mark Grace is possibly one of the most beloved Cubs players of all time, only behind the great Ernie Banks. Along with being loved by Chicago fans from all around the country, Grace won the grace of the front office time and time again.
