The Chicago Cubs are one of the most historic teams of all-time in the MLB. In this list we will count down the top 15 batting average leaders in Cubs history.

When you think of the Cubs, what do you think of?

Mostly heartbreak and agony I am sure of. Being a fan of the North Siders had been extremely hard for 108 years before 2016. They have had some legendary players, from the home-run bomber Sammy Sosa, to the greatest Cub Ernie Banks, to Ron Santo and Ryne Sandberg.

Nothing is greater than being a Cubs fan. There is just something special about watching a baseball game during the fall in Wrigley Field, even if it did not happen that often for 100 years. Fans have continued to show up year after year, even those years when the Cubs were abysmal losing 100 plus games.

The future is bright for Chicago no doubt. They look to be on the verge of becoming the next great baseball dynasty, that is if everything falls into the right places and injuries do not take their toll on the team.

Despite all the struggles that the Cubs have went through in the past century, they have some of the highest batting averages in all of baseball. Some may think recent players like Aramis Ramirez, Derrek Lee or even the newer players like Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant would be on the top of this list. In this upcoming list we will give you the top 15 players by batting average that have ever played for Chicago.
